Environmental Policy

 
Berrypoint is committed to minimising the impact of our operations on the environment. Our policy is to develop the business in a manner that is both environmentally and commercially sustainable.

We have already made significant progress towards this goal:

  • We have implemented virtual office technology to support remote working. Minimising our physical office presence significantly reduces the carbon footprint associated with commuting and office heating and power.
     
  • We have minimised the use of paper in our business. Our communications and invoicing are now entirely e-mail based and we have recently implemented an electronic agreement system that allows customers to accept quotations online without the need to print and sign a paper agreement.
     
  • We have migrated all our systems and websites to carbon-neutral servers.
     
  • We have updated our procurement policy to give preference to companies who have attained carbon-neutral status and/or have an active environmental policy in place.
     
  • Our waste is recycled to the extent supported by the local council.

We are continually looking for ways to further reduce the environmental impact of our operations and are currently assessing schemes that will enable us to achieve full carbon-neutral status in the near future.
